Introduction: I have been a motor-head for a very long time and have a keen interest in learning more about cars and automotive technology now that big changes are happening in new fuels and engine technology.
What was the 1st vehicle you owned?: 1953 Lloyd station wagon...no engine. It was used as an billboard at the corner Texaco station. The owner got tired of it, sold it to me for 2 dollars and I rolled it down the alley to my house. I was 12.
What were the best/worst vehicles you've owned?: Best; 1956 Chevy Nomad with Corvette fuel injection...need I say more. Worst: 1968 VW bug - purchased for $1 a pound new! It committed suicide by fire in downtown Pittsburgh. I had driven it there from Denver. I think that was a message.
What do you drive now?: 1991 Olds Cutlass Calais...and I am desperately searching for a new vehicle, just don't know which one.
Do you work on your own vehicles?: Yes, as much as a person with basic mechanical skills can. Big items, chassis, electrical, etc. get taken to a shop.
